My name is Robert van Haaren. Born in London 1950. One of my many jobs since leaving school and doing my apprenticeship in motor vehicle technology was for a company that renovated old cars Lea Francis, Bugattis and Armstrong Siddleys mostly. For the last 25 years I have been self emloyed specializing in service and repairs of Citroen, Volvo and Peugeot. Recently I have retired and am living most of the time in southern Spain where I can now go back to a hobby that I stopped doing when I started working for myself. Here are some paintings showing the hobby that I have returned to. I have been using oils, water colour and accrylics. I have copied some from old pictures and photographs. I have always loved the old racing cars and especially enjoy painting them in action as you can see from most of the pictures.
